Kanye West, one of the most influential and controversial artists of our time, recently did an unexpected cover of Justin Bieber’s hit song “Love Yourself.” However, it actually wasn’t West the human being who did it.
Using AI technology, West’s vocals were generated to create a computer-generated version of the popular track. However, the result sounded so real many fans are worried about the possible direction music could be going. “This AI thing will cause problems” one Twitter user said.
While some fans may have been let down that they didn’t get to hear West’s actual voice, others were intrigued by the use of AI in music and what it could mean for the future of the music industry.
