In honor of Messi, Argentina’s central bank is considering placing him on their banknotes to lift the people’s spirits during these difficult times. The proposed design would feature him on the 1000-peso note, as per the agreement of Eduardo Hecker and Lisandro Cleri.
It is believed that Messi’s inclusion could help in “awakening the collecting spirit of Argentines.” Given the athlete’s remarkable career and recent achievement, there’s a good chance that we could see “Messi money” circulated throughout Argentina.
